![]() A big thanks out to the one or two people trying to update abandoned mods though. There needs to be a compatibility filter or rating. Most mods there in fact do not even work at all, defying any expectation of reliability. There are some bugged units, some which make no sense, and some duplicates, but what does work is amazing. On my phone, but just google for it with the version number and it'll show up.Also to op, i totally agree that the vault is horribly maintained. There's a newer version of total mayhem in the forums, 1.3 that mostly works with faf. This forces your FAF client to download (tested and working) mods and maps required for that game and then you can experiment with the downloaded maps and mods later in your own time.HTH:). There are also a few survival maps which are a lot of fun, just search using the keyword 'survival'.One trick I find useful in exploring new mods and maps is just joining random games on the FAF lobby. The games are quick and you get to learn more. I suggest starting with smaller maps (5k to 10k). (anti nukes missiles are produced faster for cheaper - don't remember the exact name, not at my computer atm).Maps are a lot easier to deal with, just use the filter at the top, download and try the different maps. So we mostly retort to playing Blackops, it's the next best mod we could find.Me mates and I downloaded the Blackops mod from here and manually installed it in folder C:Users%UserName%DocumentsMy GamesGas Powered GamesSupreme Commander Forged AllianceMods (Make sure you delete all previous/other versions of the Blackops mod you have installed before adding this)There are a few other mods we use all the time, including Extreme T1 shields, Ex Mex (gives you T4 experimental mass extractors), Nuke price. Total Mayhem is a fun mod but doesn't work anymore AFAIK. I was also looking into possibly installing the BlackOps ACU Mod, but that's the one with numerous versions.Could someone help me figure this out please?. Got it installed, but when I go to install mods or maps the lists are just crazy. The Mods seems to have numerous duplicates of varying versions and minor differences, and I can't figure out how to sort the maps to find some that fit my criteria.I wanted to install the Total Mayhem Mod, but the version in FAF seems to be out of date (says it's 1.20, and the latest is 1.21 I think) and I can't find the BlackOps Icon support pack that it needs. Just bought SCFA during the last Steam sale and I'm struggling with the FAF client. ![]() (And maybe even get the developers to finally help with this aspect.)Links Links. Right now there is only a small community, however a mod that could be a great improvement could revolutionize the game. If you need a place to start look at the links below. If you can help I think it is the feelings of the majority of those who play this game that you should help them. Revamp Map Pack (Contains most of the maps from the campaign):)Development of Mods&MapsMany people are working on developing mods and maps to make Supreme Commander 2 a more diverse and interesting game. However, they do work for the most part, but some have problems with AI pathfinding. This is a due to the inability to added required AI markers since the files are compiled making them unreadable. Most player-made maps currently show up incorrectly in the preview box because they have to piggy back off an existing skirmish map's layout and ID to work. SC2 2013Player Created Maps (MOD MAPS)Many people have managed to port maps into skirmish from the campaign which would then be modded with mass points and spawn markers despite the fact that the game developer's have not released any sort of map editor or any other form of assistance. If you do not, you might seriously impair the game by accident.Supreme Commander 2 Mods. It should be noted that when using mods one should ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS backup the original game files. Nonetheless, people have managed to find ways that successfully introduce new maps and units, many of which are from the previous Supreme Commander, into the game.
